Adelaide Chamber Singers believes strongly in the power and the passion of vocal chamber music and the profound impact it can have in our lives.

In 2022, ACS was delighted to announce its new seasonal ensemble, Rising Voices: the next generation of Adelaide Chamber Singers. Made up of Adelaide’s finest emerging vocalists, they are singing from the same score and warming up in the wings ready to take on the world. These talented and passionate performers are equally committed to the pursuit of excellence in choral singing and are the future of our artform.

In 2024, Rising Voices will be involved in two programs:

 

• Resound! – Season 2024 Christmas program
• Handel’s Messiah – collaboration with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra

• Valuable training in a wide range of high-level choral ensemble skills under the directorship of Christie Anderson and Carl Crossin, with vocal mentors from the Adelaide Chamber Singers Core
• A career pathway for emerging or established choral singers who aspire to work at a professional level
• Opportunities to perform at the highest level when combining with the ACS Core ensemble

Due to its seasonal nature, we believe that being a member of Rising Voices will allow singers to continue to participate in their ‘home’ choir. We also hope that these Rising Voices experiences will impact positively on the other choirs the Rising Voices members sing with.
