Adelaide Chambers Singers’ ensemble is drawn from Adelaide’s best and most experienced ensemble singers, many of whom are also conductors, soloists, teachers and independent artists. We invite you to meet them below…

Meet our Sopranos

Soprano Brooke Window is a mentor for Rising Voices and a Singers' Representative on the ACS Board.
Brooke is also a member of the State Opera South Australia Chorus and regularly a freelance soloist. Brooke loves the variety of repertoire ACS sings, covering centuries of music, differing genres, and so many languages! She also loves that ACS regularly commissions new works and champions Australian composers.
Soprano Victoria Coxhill is also a singer and soloist for Bellarmine Vocal Ensemble and Concert Choir at Saint Ignatius’ College.
Having sung with ACS for 10 years Victoria enjoys the sense of community and shared commitment to performing at the highest standards with ACS. She loves choral music because it can bring diverse groups together and engender health and wellbeing as well being lots of fun!
Soprano Imogen Tonkin also performs regularly with Rising Voices and the St Peter’s Cathedral Consort.
An avid pianist and cellist, Imogen loves the social and spirtual connection of singing with ACS. The singers truly embrace the joy of choral singing and making music together she says and you’ll struggle to find a group more engaged with the music and their love of ‘choral bangers’ than this one!

Meet our Altos

Alto Emma Woehle also teaches singing at Christian Brothers College here in Adelaide.
Emma has extensive experience as an opera and concert performer gracing the stage not only in Australia but also in the UK, Germany, Sweden, China and Japan. A regular singing with the State Opera of South Australia chorus, Emma loves working with like-minded singers in ACS and enjoys our varied repertoire.
Alto Rachel Bruerville is a singer and mentor for ACS who is also a composer and cellist.
Rachel enjoys writing and holds the position of Senior Communications and Choral Coordinator at UKARIA, and enjoys the many varied collaborations that ACS provides. Rachel calls ACS her "community of fellow choir nerds who just get it" and so having ACS sing her compositions is a dream come true for this passionate chamber singer.
Alto Sophie Schumacher also sings for Aurora Vocal Ensemble.
Singing in choirs from the age of 5, starting with the Australian Girls Choir, and then over several years with Gondwana Voices and Gondwana Chorale, singing with ACS is a long held dream of Sophie's. Most happy when she's singing, Sophie says its hard to beat the feeling you experience when singing part of a perfectly tuned chord!

Meet our Tenors

Tenor Graham Yuile also sings with Rising Voices and Graduate Singers
Graham is an audience-focused solo and ensemble performer, equally comfortable in the classical and Scottish traditional styles. He loves the sense of cohesion and unity of purpose when a piece begins to come together and the attention to detail that goes into the programming - the focus on inviting the audience to share something that brings us all such fulfilment.
Tenor/Bass Aidan Foyel also sings with the Festival Statesmen Chorus and is a conductor/vocal coach for numerous school choirs.
A passionate and nurturing vocal teacher Aidan teaches privately and at numerous schools in Adelaide. Aidan believes singing in choirs provides an incredible opportunity for us to feel a sense of belonging, unity and companionship through the gift of music.

Meet our Basses

Bass Jonathan Bligh sometimes acts as ACS Chorus Master and a mentor for our Rising Voices as well as performing in our core ensemble.
Jonathan is also the conductor of the Festival Stateman Chorus. He loves choral singing because it constitutes the coming together of people from all walks of life to work towards a common purpose. To share and create meaningful stories to share with people.
Bass Andrew Bettison enjoys singing with ACS as well as being a specialist Spanish Coach for the company.
Andrew also sings occasionally with Lumina Vocal Ensemble and acts as a mentor with Young Adelaide Voices. He loves singing with ACS as it constantly exposes him to new music, allowing him to practice and perform with people who love singing as much as he does and producing utterly sublime and moving music.
Bass Christopher Gann is part of the ACS core ensemble and also sings with St Peter’s Cathedral Consort.
Christopher particularly enjoys presenting high-quality choral repertoire through ACS and the engagement with other singers that performing in our ensemble provides.

Alongside our core ensemble, Adelaide Chamber Singers is committed to mentoring the next generation of emerging artists and talented Chamber Singers. Many of our artists act as individual mentors, specialist coaches, Choral Master and inspiration to our Rising Voices ensemble artists.
