Conducted by Christie Anderson

These are tales gathered from the rich tapestry of folk traditions, seen through the eyes of composers who capture the essence of place, culture, and memory.

From the haunting beauty of English folksongs to melodies born of forgotten landscapes, we sing of love and longing, of solitude and of nature’s quiet wisdom, of ghosts that linger and communities that gather in firelit evenings. What we share has been passed down through generations – a living echo of people and place, woven into song, and now offered to you.

Featuring contemporary arrangements of traditional folksongs from the British Isles, collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Cecil Sharp, Veijo Tormis’ Ingrian Evenings and tales by Michael McGlynn, Orlando Lassus, Clement Jannequin and more.
