Conducted by Christie Anderson

Heal You is a transformative journey of healing, peace, dignity, place and belonging.

Music has a profound ability to heal and restore, touching both the heart and mind in ways that transcend ordinary communication, and nothing expresses this more keenly than the human voice.  We articulate this healing with exquisite musical responses, from early 20th Century works; Josef Rheinberger’s Abendlied and Charles Villiers Stanford’s The Bluebird, matched with contemporary repertoire with prayers against violence, tyranny and homelessness, with Caroline Shaw’s And the swallow, Anna Meredith’s Heal You and Jake Runestad’s Let my love be heard.

Searching for place is both an internal and external exploration.  It may be seeking your tribe, or a place of certainty within yourself or a physical place to put down roots and grow in belonging, comfort, and identity.  Living through these experiences, facing challenges with love and compassion, is how we face each day with fresh eyes.  That which remains with text by Helen Keller is about connection – “All that we love deeply becomes part of us” while Anne Cawrse’s Night/Light from her commissioned work All Flesh is Fire with text by Kate Llewellyn is about the tranquillity of place, aging with wisdom and the beauty of small things.

We are made to treat one another with love and compassion.  Heal You is a journey of healing, belonging and wonder.  We find joy in the most unexpected places, sending peace out into the world one note, one person, one experience at a time.
