The choir for this performance was the admirable Adelaide Chamber Singers directed by Carl Crossin, and the soprano was the superb Greta Bradman.

Newly commissioned and delivered in Tim Marks’ memory, the romantically opulent harmonies of Daniel Brinsmead’s An Ode to Music were neatly balanced by the astringent sonorities of Paul Stanhope’s Lament for St Cecilia, both works delivered with white heat intensity.
